Addiction Recovery Center in North Houston

Approximately 20 miles north of downtown Houston just off interstate 45 lies The Right Step North office dedicated to alcohol and drug addiction recovery.  The Right Step North is one of 19 Right Step offices located throughout Texas and one of eight of our locations that offer an adolescent recovery program.  So whether you are 13 or 93 the staff at The Right Step is dedicated to providing the highest level of outpatient treatment possible to you or your loved one.   

The outpatient program is created to serve clients with drug or alcohol dependency that need a structured recovery program, but are unable to committee to a residential program due to busy schedules.  Clients participating in the outpatient recovery program will use the 12-Step Program and proven clinical treatment methods to help you make positive changes in your life. You will spend up to 10 hours each week (at least 3 days a week) in a structured, supportive setting led by licensed professionals.  You will participate in the following activities:

• Group counseling
• Individual counseling
• Groups for men and women
• Family group
• Adolescent group
• Spirituality awareness
• Relapse prevention
• 12-Step meetings (off-site)
• Education classes

Susan Hanna at The Right Step North location will work with you throughout the entire process.  Susan is at the North IOP on 1960 and Kuykendahl.  She is a Registered Nurse and a Certified Addictions Registered Nurse.  She is compassionate and caring and the clients recognize immediately that she is someone who is on their side.  She has an uncanny ability to see where clients are struggling even before they see it themselves and intuitively knows how they are feeling and what she can do to help.  She has been a nurse for 15 years and has experience in critical care, training, research, and chemical dependency detoxification and counseling. Susan has focused strictly on substance abuse for the past 4 years.
