Treatment-The Consequences of Relapse – Outpatient Program
Your opportunity for realizing positive change in your life is available through the Outpatient addiction treatment program at The Right Step. This is an eight-week course provided for those addicted to alcohol and drugs to experience in order to progress along the path of recovery.
A series of educational Sessions will include group discussions, visual aids, as well as verbal and written exercises. Supportive, licensed professionals will encourage you to participate in your recovery and avail you of the chance to reflect on the details of the disease of addiction that you personally relate to.
Session Six will specifically include information regarding the many aspects of the relapse process. The final part of relapse being the loss of control over substance abuse after actually using drugs or alcohol despite having been sober for a period of time.
Addiction Relapse: Short and Long-Term Consequences
There are different consequences relating to relapse that will be discussed in your group drug and alcohol treatment program. Two possible paths will primarily be focused on during this part of the addiction treatment during Outpatient. Some alcoholics and drug addicts only relapse for a short period of time before realizing that they are out of control and need help again, returning to working on their recovery without experiencing intensive consequences to their life.
The second path discussed is regarding those who feel too much remorse for their relapse to actually return for addiction recovery treatment. These individuals often develop progressive health and life issues that finally result in breaking down and going back into recovery, death via accidents, suicide, or drug-related violence.
