Addiction Triggers-Alcohol and Drug Relapse – Outpatient Program

Education regarding the 11 stages involved in the relapse process is provided through the Outpatient Program at The Right Step.

At this point in your eight-week addiction treatment program, you will have been provided with in-depth information about the first several points leading you toward addiction relapse, which include getting stuck in recovery, the impaired thinking of denial and compulsive behaviors.

Proceeding through these steps often generates the experience of an addiction trigger event.  The alcoholic or drug addict may discover at this point that they react differently to this experience than they would have expected themselves to react now that they have been sober for a while. This can include feeling a temporary loss of control.

Education Regarding The Process of Drug and Alcohol Relapse

Continuing to progress in your treatment for the disease of alcoholism or drug addiction will include learning more about the internal dysfunction that occurs in the fifth stage of the relapse process.

Supportive, licensed instructors at The Right Step will guide you through these group addiction treatment Sessions as you participate in your recovery and begin or continue along the path toward positive change in your life.

You will have the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of the warning signs of relapse and how to avoid falling into the traps that enable the completion of these different pieces that could land you back into your substance abuse addiction.
