Alcohol and Addiction: Is Addiction a Moral Issue –
Outpatient Program
During Session Three of your Outpatient Treatment at The Right Step, you will be learning about the brain disease of addiction and alcoholism, as well as the addiction disorder’s effect upon society.
Interactive group discussions you will be encouraged to participate in will include misconceptions commonly held regarding the disease of addiction, including the concept of addiction as a moral issue.
Supportive, licensed professionals will guide you through the process of understanding ways that moral issues do tie in to the addiction disorder, leading to this misconception of addiction being a morality problem. They will help you to recognize the points at which the disease of addiction and the concepts of moral codes converge so that you may identify the responsibilities you have in achieving recovery from drug and alcohol addiction.
