Alcohol and Addiction: Widespread Health Concern –
Outpatient Program
Treatment for alcohol and addiction is provided by The Right Step’s Outpatient Program in a series of Sessions over the course of eight weeks. Once you have advanced into Session Three of your addiction treatment, you will be learning more about the details of the brain disease of addiction, as well as the many health concerns involved.
Participation in group addiction treatment discussions and exercises is encouraged by the supportive, licensed professionals who will be guiding you through your treatment for substance abuse addiction.
You will learn that addiction is the foremost public health problem existent in the United States today. Alcohol facts and addiction facts provided will include the use of visual aids and medical graphics with specific details about the rampancy of addiction in our society.

Although the addiction disorder often remains undiagnosed and untreated, the facts about alcoholism and drug addiction show that 20% - 50% of hospitalized patients are known to suffer from addiction disorders. The total number of patients treated in primary care settings with addiction disorders ranges from about 15% - 30%. Additionally, up to 50% of those diagnosed with psychiatric illnesses are also found to be suffering from the brain disease of addiction.
Informative documentation regarding alcohol facts and addiction facts that will be available to you during your treatment for addiction will also include information regarding the lack of understanding in the healthcare profession and the reason for this problem. This includes the fact that only about one-percent of the medical school curriculum is applied to the study of addictive disorders.
As you continue to grow in your understanding of addiction as a disease during your treatment in the Outpatient Program of The Right Step, you will move forward into Session Three to learn about the costs incurred by addiction to alcohol and drugs and the consequences these include.
Addiction Treatment Locations
Residents of local Texas and New Mexico cities including Missouri City, Orange, Byran-College Station, Waco,Tyler and Albuquerque often receive treatment for their addiction to drugs or alcohol through the Outpatient Programs at one of 20 convenient Right Step locations.
Out patient Alcohol Treatment and Outpatient Drug Treatment programs are offered in Austin TX, Baytown TX, Beaumont TX, Conroe TX, Dallas TX, Euless TX, Plano TX, Houston TX, Clear Lake TX, Ft. Bend TX, Pasadena TX, The Woodlands TX, San Antonio TX, Wimberley TX, Albuquerque NM.
Residential Treatment centers in DFW, Houston and Austin are also provided for recovery from addiction disease, attracting individuals from Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Arizona and other areas of the United States to participate in recovery programs at The Right Step.
