Patterns of Stress Response: Drug and Alcohol Addiction Treatment – Outpatient Program
Treatment for drug abuse and alcoholism is provided through the Outpatient Program at The Right Step. A series of Sessions are used as the basis for an educational addiction recovery program in this eight week long treatment process.
At this point in your recovery treatment, you will be nearing the end of Session Eight, the focus of which is the subject of stress and the many aspects and outcomes created by experiencing stress. You will have learned about the sources of stress originating from the family life, as well as the workplace and how the perception of each individual determines the level of stress they experience.
Both physical and psychological outcomes of stress will have been discussed and at this point, you will be learning more about patterns of response to stress in the life of the alcoholic or drug addict.

Substance Abuse Addiction: Responding to Stress
Examples of responding to stress will be provided by experienced, licensed instructors as they discuss with you and your group ways that stress response can indicate the personality of each individual suffering from the disease of addiction.
Included in these examples will be the ways that some people show hatred and irritability in stressful situations while others become desperate and confessing during these stressful times.
Moving forward, you will begin to
learn about stress reduction as you come to the end of Session Eight of your
Intensive Outpatient addiction treatment
program at The Right Step.
Addiction Treatment Locations
Residents of local Texas and New Mexico cities including Abiline TX, Amarillo TX, Snyder TX, Lubbock TX, Alvin TX and Aransas Pass TX often receive treatment for their addiction to drugs or alcohol through the Intensive Outpatient Programs at one of 20 convenient Right Step locations.
Outpatient Alcohol Treatment and Outpatient Drug Treatment programs are offered in Austin TX, Baytown TX, Beaumont TX, Conroe TX, Dallas TX, Euless TX, Plano TX, Houston TX, Clear Lake TX, Ft. Bend TX, Pasadena TX, The Woodlands TX, San Antonio TX, Wimberley TX, Albuquerque NM.
Residential Treatment centers in DFW, Houston and Austin are also provided for recovery from addiction disease, attracting individuals from Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Arizona and other areas of the United States to participate in recovery programs at The Right Step.
