Adolescent Addiction Treatment Program FAQs – for Teens
Will I be able to contact my parents and friends while in addiction treatment?
While many teens with a drug or alcohol problem have had to struggle with juvenile detention experiences and other scenarios where their freedoms were limited, receiving addiction treatment at The Right Step treatment center will not mean that you will lose all of your freedoms or feel imprisoned. Contact with your parents is not only allowed, but is encouraged.
How am I going to be treated? Will I be talked down to and judged as less than “normal” kids?
At The Right Step alcohol and drug rehab, many of our addiction treatment counselors have been where you are now. This helps them to understand not only how to help you recover from addiction, but also to understand many of the feelings you are experiencing because they have had some of these feelings themselves. Our addiction professionals will provide you with the supportive care you need; they appreciate the great deal of courage it takes to enter treatment, and respect you for taking steps to get better.
Will I have roommates when I am in The Right Step rehab? Will I have any privacy?
Roommate arrangements for our adolescent addiction treatment program may vary depending on individual circumstances. Whatever the arrangements are in your individual case, you will be treated considerately and your right to privacy will be respected. It is important to us that you feel safe and secure while in our teen rehab program.
